Rainfall At Nightfall

It was stark dark, A little after dusk. Thunderclouds rumbled, And heavy rain tumbled. Children had fled from their playground, Driven by the dismal sound. But the aged knew better, When a young one shook like a feather. Home everyone went- Each child with a parent; Waiting for the hour of woe, For the world had soon become a foe.
