Rainfall
Rainfall
Far off in the distance, you see storm clouds
Sky begins to darken, everything it enshrouds
Winds intensify, it’s passionate fury swirling
Leaves, small branches, tossing and hurling
Skies open up, the violent deluge starts pouring
Thunderous sounds so deafening and roaring
Lightning engulfs the sky with such blinding light
To many a creature, seemingly a frightening sight
The violence of the thunderstorm, fearful by design
As if it were God’s own hand wielding furious divine
The fierceness of the rain, driest of soil consumes all
Giving life to the dry arid ground, newest growth befall
Off in the distance, you hear the faint rumbling fade
The thunderstorms subsides, leaving the mark it’s made
A soft rainfall continues to descend from the grey skies
As the violent, forceful strength of the winds slowly dies
