in hyacinth and heather my true love dwells and in lush lavender her bones rest in peace no mere human can project nor can foretell when in this life one's vitality may cease yet this I know and of this I can be sure that her soul was white as snow and truly pure thus in God's new world I know I'll see her soon and together we'll chase rainbows on the moon * Inspired by Chris Bowring's wonderful rispetto as well as others

Hey Tommy - your rispetto! I’m so glad I’ve just checked in as I’ve been a bit quiet of late too. I love the title, poem and the stunning picture. To me, there’s no sign of a struggle here. It’s in perfect form. So beautifully expressed, so tender, so romantic with wonderful flow. I love the creative use of colour here. It’s a very compacted form and you have composed an amazing piece with so much captured. It is actually very ethereal ‘ and together we’ll chase rainbows on the moon’- divine!

A beautiful and consoling thought. Though she is gone, she dwells in the land of bliss as an enchanting rainbow in dazzling shades. We are sure that once our life will end. After that there awaits a happy reunion in God's presence and together you will chase rainbows. Beautiful flow and lovely rhyming, dear Tom.

for some reason i'm hearing 'scarborough fair' in my head when i'm reading this..it's a lovely romantic rendering of what seems to be a tricky form; i agree with the comment below, there's something otherworldly about it, ethereal, i like it..

Look at you doing a rispetto.. You constructed the form really well and I admire the flow and rhymes.. I romantic poem about yearning for a lost beloved, done so poetically.. one of your more poetic pieces in regards to description and metaphors... Good luck with chasing rainbows on the moon...

I wonder if theres actually rainbows on the moon? Ah what a beautiful and inspiring title that is! One i wish i came up with! Your rispetto is beautiful, flows with excellent rhymes and depth with slight and seamless use of alliterations, i can feel the longing and loss and how one wishes to reunite in a place more beautiful! Great use of symbolism simile and metaphors as well as descriptive diction! Very evocative rispetto! I love it! Especially the opening 2 lines and last two lines! Hit hard. Pleasure reading!
