Rain of Sorrow

In the land where skies once wept with grace, Now echoes of war, tears stream down the face. A family torn in the midst of strife, Caught in the crossfire of two nations' life. The father, once a pillar strong and tall, Now lies beneath the earth's somber pall. His sacrifice, a shield for kin so dear, Yet his absence leaves wounds too deep to bear. Mother, with weary eyes and heavy heart, Fights on, though torn apart. She labors in fields, now soaked in blood, Her spirit wanes like a wilted bud. The rain, once a blessing from the divine, Now falls as tears, a mournful sign. It washes away dreams of a peaceful day, Leaving sorrow to reign, come what may. Two children, innocent souls in the fray, Their laughter silenced, their hopes astray. Trapped in the cycle of endless pain, Their voices lost in the thunder and rain. Amidst the fields where crops once thrived, Now lie the remnants of dreams deprived. For war knows no mercy, no rhyme or reason, Leaving behind only devastation and treason. Oh, how the earth weeps for what's been lost, As the toll of war comes at a grievous cost. A family shattered, their tale untold, In the merciless grip of conflict's hold. So let us mourn for those caught in strife, And pray for an end to this bitter life. For in the soil, may seeds of peace be sown, To heal the wounds of those alone.
