But for the rain it wouldnt be the emerald isle, you've captured it well. Been cats n dogs here too this week too. I read somewhere that the gulf stream will go north this week but I'm not holding my breath lol. Congratulations on your win David. Tom

Thanks Jan, soggy mops indeed, thank goodness we have huge bogs that can absorb most, if not all the rain we’ve been having this summer, cheers David

The persistent rainfall that has graced the Norwegian landscape throughout the month of July deserves commendation, David. Please accept my heartfelt congratulations on achieving first place in the contest.

Thank you Lasaad, I’m in Ireland, well most of the time anyway when my head is not in the clouds, persistent is definitely the right word, never rains but it pours, cheers David

Thanks so much Kim I’m absolutely delighted with the win in your contest, I know I’m not a great advocate for tourism Ireland, but the rain has been remorseless this last month or so, was raining again today but only for a few hours, cheers David

Well poetically it’s not far from the truth Anaya, this (summer) is particularly wet even by Irelands soggy standards, I’ve haven’t been to New Orleans, I’m hoping to visit Dallas for the total eclipse next April, but will have to wait a little longer to see if it’s workable, cheers David

Even the pavements have turned an algae colour from all the rain Paula, you’ve no idea how much of the stuff has fallen over the last month, I know we’re pretty lucky all things considered, cheers David

Those clouds can burst all they want, but Ireland is still on my list of places to visit. Well written Haiku, David.

Ah it’s a great place Lin most of the time, much more rain than usual this summer, countless full days of it, but still fun to be had regardless, I’m sure you’ll get here eventually, thanks for the virtual visit today, cheers David
