Quietly Begging

QUIETLY BEGGING Quietly begging the sandman - not prayers, Just the usual inventive techniques There have been nightmares Nightmares? Nothing really frightening, Not yet, just crazy, like A boatman pointing an opposite shore, Inviting Pillow soft, yielding, deep Bedspread, smooth, rippling Eye lids heavy in his keep Uhmm, hummmmmmmm… “Old granny knows a young child’s heart Now. Take a bite! Yessssss, Sleep. Sleeeeeeep. Sleep.” Dave Austin

I think 'Old granny' does know "a young child's heart". She can vanquish the fears and insecurities by calming the heart. My mom had been a champion at doing this, but think my own fiery little granny had worn us out to exhaustion. Still, it worked, I suppose.=/ Love this Daver, it unlocks a dusty door.:) Keep well, love, Mikki
