Putins Hollow Victory Parade

Russia celebrates victory over Nazism on the ninth of may But there is just a few things that I would like to say Victory over Ukraine they certainly won't be celebrating And weapons to beat them we'll keep on supplying. How can they be so proud of their murdering scum army Who've been engaging in vile acts of sheer depravity Their ship the Makarov has been hit, by a missile in the Black Sea That had been landing troops and firing missiles, indiscriminately. I read their T90 super duper-tank has taken a direct hit Russia might be able to salvage some bits and do a refit The Ukrainian army are turning, Russian equipment into scrap It's hardly state of the art, more like a pile of cheap crap. Putin employed Chechen thugs to make sure soldiers didn't desert Then the Russian army turned on them and left them in the dirt But many soldiers are deserting they have now seen the light Making a laughing stock of Russia's, supposed military might. So as Russians cheers on their victory parade in Red Square Hundreds of people are dying but they don't really care They're been fed daily via TV with propaganda and lies The fact that many support Putin should come as no surprise. I look forward to the day when Ukraine, will eventually be free Both I and the civilised world will be cheering their victory Russia will no longer be a threat having been weakened militarily And will never again be able to impose their rule, on another forcibly. Thanks for the very informative poem, Tom. I sure hope the ending comes true. It appalls me to see people control and misled by propaganda and government control media. Unfortunately, it's happening here in the U.S. as well. We're on the verge of losing our right to free speech. Enjoyed your poem, my friend, Bill

Thank you Bill, since the pandemic I've noticed governments chipping away at people's freedoms worldwide, western countries are getting ideas from the likes of Nth Korea and China, frightening indeed. Tom

Hope it is not far away ! There should be peace on Earth and for all people ! Though you cannot supply military arms to Ukraine, you are doing your mighty 'bit' to invoke public opinion against Russian brutality !

"Hear,hear" Tom, i'm still reeling that NATO, although supplying arms, have not put troops on the ground and in the air, I am well aware of the arguments for and against this. But there is a clear message needed here, that this sort of behaviour will carry on, (Why does China, N Korea) feel the need to arm to the hilt, no one on the planet, have threaten anyone with violence. Keep up the poetry Tom, they are needed, and have a part to play, (fight) against all of this injustice.

Thank you very much Harry, I fully agree, he's flexing his muscles and the west is cowering, there's no need to put a step on Russian soil, just go into Ukraine and help kick them out, it wouldn't take long from what I've seen. Nth Korea and China another two countries that are unhinged. While they keep fighting I'll keep writing. Tom

That's his display of force-expecting humans to be terrified. But we must all denounce him. He will never be capable of eventually exterminating us all. Instead, he will be wiped out before clicking the magic button. He should not do harm to every life on the earth to achieve what he desires.
