Purpose
I watch the world around me
As time passes, as it fades
Bound together by an endless clock
That string together days
I sit there and I ponder life
And as to why I’m here
For life is but a headlight
And we are each a speechless deer
I take in my surroundings
Its complexity I analyze
Emotions, colors, feelings
All I seem to recognize
I realize then that all of this
Could not portray such pointlessness
And that every life has a meaning
True for every human being
God has created all this life
With the precision and sharpness of a knife
Every man is different and unique
With different goals in which we seek
Every color, shape, or size
We are all the same within God’s eyes
So for those of you who search for purpose
The answer is but on the surface:
Live the life that you shall lead
And with God in mind you shall succeed
