Pure Love

An auspicious display of pure innocent love In consummation, the fluttering, feathers of doves No lust or shame simply procreation On a branch, overhead, in casual observation This lifelong commitment, they'll share forever Nest building and nurturing their family together No covetous glances or adulterous romances No words of anger or compromising circumstances To me, this is love as was meant to be We contort it and twist it, then call it humanity What wonders one sees when one looks with the mind Don't look with your eyes and see what you find
