Puppet Show
It's a circus says the hypnotist
telling you subconsciously
how to feel amongst lions and tigers and bears
when you go to the zoo
not knowing its part of gods plan
and that we are all in essence animals and zoo keepers
those humbled and those who abuse power
It's a zoo says the hypnotist
and the audience of marionettes
cut their cords of strings and see through one of the veils of reality
to role play a different act collectively
to wake up in four or five months
with subtle recollections
of the truth serum they swallowed while they were all drunk Mexicans
and the audience laughed at their gullible sanctuary confessions
It's a puppet show says the hypnotist
and the hypnotist and you're all biblical sitting ducks
amongst the arch angels of the war of the worlds
so how do you become something that the wickedness never claims
and now you're back in the jungle of concrete and drugs
of money and filth and **** psychology
of homeless people freezing as frozen memories
where you tell your children to close their eyes
as you drive through downtown so you can take them shopping
for Jesus birthday you selfishly celebrate but throw all meaning of out the window
I'm hypnotizing the hypnotists here says the hypnotist
hypnotized by the hypnosis
and forgot my slide
your life and confessions
of your perfect imperfections
of psychics and psychosis of pills and traumas and wars
has me surprised and terrified
but you he says
you are pure smart and sensitive
you are the centerpiece of every act
and the method of all madness
you are the obsession of everyone and the rising truth
you are the breaking of my curse
and the new wave of the world
so tell me how do you want me to focus your dreams until you remember
and you become and insignificant nobody once again?
Look at the blue lights in your stereos
pay attention to my name heard through word of mouth
and what i have written
and the connections of me in song
one day we will escape this machine
and I'll find a new island of complexes of a new act to become
from house fires to poverty to fame
and live the perfect life as a humbled enlightened political mastermind
who hypnotized the hypnotists with blue lights rumors
and made millionaires want to discover their free will
and make an amends to the wells they have poisoned
dear hypnotist
what did you really do to me?
