Publican Promises
There they go again,
giving you citizens
the ritual political spin
Got the same invitation as before ...
Only question is,
to which party do you wanna go
All of the politicians say,
their party gonna give you a merry good time
Saying, they gon make it rain
paper green,
and they got something good
coming out of the cake
Every politricker say they got a better way,
and citizen you
gon be keeping more of the money you make
Just vote for your favorite
special interest whore coming out of the cake
Politrickers be licking their fingers,
saying they got a sweet deal tooth
Making party promises to cut the tax cake,
and give a bigger slice to citizen you
Publican promises:
they gon give more of your
hard-earned money back —
That’s the honest-to-flag truth
Put more back in your pocket,
that’s what they say they gon do
Publican promises ...
ain’t you had enough of them tricking you
They think you never get enough
of being their tax fool
Publican politicians believe
putting a little more patriotic frosting
on the tax cake ... then cut a nice promise slice,
and give it to citizen you
That you gon greedily eat it all up,
just like you always do
