Psychological Warfare

They invaded the neighbouring town by night, Stripped it of its serenity before daylight, They had been to the town before, No one knew they would come for more. We geared up, We’d walk to the top, We were ready to take the battle to their territory, Disarm them like missiles on a trajectory. At nightfall, we threw stones and sent our cattle, There was a stampede and a rattle, Our enemies were dazed, They were confused. They were in a hopeless realm, We conquered them, Peace came to our territory, This event went down in history. April 20, 2024.

a fitting poem for the contest, one filled with the hope that comes from winning a battle, even a psychological one. Best wishes with the contest, Sara
