Psalm 23 - Modern Version

The Lord is my Poet I shall not fret He notes me down in white sheets of paper He rhymes my life at all times He holds the pen He writes a new song in my heart For His glory's sake Yea, though I go through the valley of the shadow of blankness I will not be afraid For You are with me, Your pen and Your ink, they comfort me You prepare a poem for me in the presence of my friends You anoint my head with ink; My paper runs over, Surely lyrics and songs shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will be held in the hand of the Lord Forever

Wow. What a brilliant idea. I am a little jealous that you got there first, Joanna ;) but I have to applaud your inventive, biblically poetic rendition of one of the most well known psalms. It amuses, represents, encourages and respects all in one. Gonna fave and must become the 'Poet's Prayer'. Bless you, Sam :) x
