Profane Amen
. for public domain
I find no greater joy in all things that be,
not in gold, not in learning, not Great Deities,
nothing can match the happiness I see
in her eyes and her face when she smiles on me.
Disappointments and pains I endured in the past,
no longer do I flag at the top of a mast,
only her vision of bliss unsurpassed,
I see only Anne, and my fate is there cast.
Forgive me Great Spirit this one loves profane,
and do not punish me with too much disdain,
only through her I find life worth living again,
and only because of her can I say Amen.
