Pro-Life Vs Pro-Choice

Has this ever been a choice you had to make Considering life or death ~ deciding anothers fate Who has the right to judge if and when one procreates Should politicians or priests decide what’s at stake What about the child who’s raped ~ does she have a say Which choice is right ~ keep the child ~ give him away A mother carrying a child with an abnormality ~ what’s right To watch her child suffer ~ witness his fatality ~ what a sight Is it fair to say if you decide to abort ~ you don’t care I don’t claim to have an answer here ~ but say this I wouldn’t dare I wouldn’t dare ~ it’s not fair ~ I wouldn’t dare This choice is the most difficult for anyone to bare Lay

After a very super weekend I am back at the soup reading. I enjoyed reading your poetry this morning Lay. There are so many diverse writers here and I am so happy I am able to read most of them. Have a wonderful week and may you find what you are looking for in life and in your writing. Love, Carol

Lay, this poem describes well a debate that has been going on for a long time. Having been raised Catholic, I would not have chosen abortion as an option. I believe life begins at the moment of conception, but I do not wish to impose my views on others. Whatever you do, it's a "Catch 22." Great poem! Love, Carolyn

Awesome poem on a very touchy topic, Lay! I can understand the dilemma. I wouldn't dare judge anyone either. I wrote a poem, years back on the topic of abortion, "Unborn Child". Abortin clinics have never been forthcoming with the most importqnt information to the poor women who face this challenge, and that is, the post psychological effects linger for life! I beieve the more info anyone is given relative to their person, they can better decide what's best for them. Love, Annalise

Magnificent words Lay ... after losing a child at 5 months old I cannot imagine anyone deliberately killing an unborn ... still a touchy subject in our society my friend.. only God has the power of life and death... once we interfere chaos ensues... thankxx for sharing your message today my friend..luv..

The lady who made the song "His Eye Is On The Sparrow" was a child born from rape..There are many children born into homes where the couples are married and they are a child of rape..Great topic should spark much interest..Sara

Such thought provoking poem here, Lay. Is it up to the person or people effected? as a example. i've known people, with down syndrome children, some are dedicated to their children, others i know, can not cope at all. good to see this aspect highlighten. Harry
