Pristine White Morning
In the predawn quiet,
imagine my surprise
when a sparkling wonder
greets my sleepy eyes.
As I slumbered, Frosty
opened wide to blow
and sent a special gift.
I totally missed the show.
A shining cloak blankets
the earth, pristine white.
Snow steals down in darkness,
unveils in morning light,
Glistening in the sunshine
and sheltering underneath,
many guests of summer, now
wrapped in Nature's sheath.
