Princess needs flea meds pill in chocolate spit out... fleas all over house Not really Anyone got an idea how I can get this pill in her I have tried the hotdog trick bit, I put chocolate syrup on it She just spits it back out

I wish I had an answer for you...love the haiku...perhaps sing to her and when she decides to sing with you, place it on her tongue and perhaps she'll swallow when taking a breath....well, why not? lol Cynthia...actually, call your vet!

lol, I'm glad you haven't really got the fleas! my mum always hid pills in a lump of butter for Pads and Nero - sometimes Nero spat them out, but he usually swallowed them with a second lump of butter

Dog or cat? I could get my dog to swallow by putting it way back on her tongue and holding her mouth closed. A cat not so much. Thanks for your comment on my last poem. Love, Joyce

From above, I place thumb and middle finger (left hand, I'm right handed), on either side of the dogs jaw, at the back just in front of the joint. With a little gentle pressure, I can open the mouth to get my right hand, with fingers and thumb together, closed at the top around the pill, inside far enough to push the pill into the throat. I remove my hand, close the dog's mouth to make sure there is no instant regurgitation, give the dog his favorite treat, and he's forgotten in 3 seconds...

Have you tried to get it to powder and sprinkle it in her food? Just a thought! This is a fabulous write my friend! I know how it feels to have fleas all over the place! It's a real pain! Have you tried to use the liquid stuff that you put on the back of the dog...it is a dog right? If it's a cat, I don't know if they have that for a cat! That liquid stuff really works, at least it has for all the dogs we've had! Try it out, this is a great poem Sara, i hope you can get her to take her pill!
