Priceless Gift
I lost track Jon!
I cannot exactly remember the year you were born
But, I know, the special date
Is toward Memorial weekend.
I chose priceless gifts for you
Like your artwork from Alaska
The snapshots were taken from my mantle display
They could have been from Fairbanks or Anchorage.
I keep them because they are worth more
Than silver or gold or diamond
They are the symbol of Jon and Isaiah (too)
In my simple house!
I chose this colorful birthday card
Because I want to show you
That this card is like life itself
Full of colors and celebrations!
You may see bright or dull
But I implore you
To notice the bright ones
More than the dull ones.
Such is the fabrics of life: dull and bright!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
