Pretenders Alike

(Villonnet) Like jelly beans displayed in crystal bowls presented with a flair for make believe, we don costumes in vogue of yesteryear for come this night, we nourish hungry souls. Our parts are scripted on the printed scrolls we voice before a thirsty crowd to grant escape into a fantasy of wealth, like jelly beans displayed in crystal bowls. We strive to broaden vivid, perfect roles where on the stage, a spate of dreams are fed as though true class can be pulled on like skin for come this night, we nourish hungry souls. Like jelly beans displayed in crystal bowls we wait backstage for entrance to the fete for come this night, we nourish hungry souls.

I like your phase "we nourish hungry souls" It's a great line and a worthy goal . . . but unlike the jelly beans, your nourishment is filling and whole. Nicely done.
