Predators
Upon the very morning as the crocus turns its leaves
The predators, flying high above, do little to deceive
The scurrying awakening rodents and rabbits, too, at play
Just look to the very front of them with no fears upon this day
And at that very moment, the birds flew in attack
Driving all the critters, to hurry and get back
Swooping low, to nothing, the birds just flew away
They knew they’d have another chance, again, on the next day
