Precious Eyes
Precious eyes
Your window to the world at large
Window to the soul, your inner light.
What you see
Is what you choose to perceive
To see beauty will make your soul dance
Making you want to express it with your life
To see ugliness will make your soul branded,
Burning it with fear, diminishing its light.
What you feel
Is what you receive
Through the window of your eyes
To feel love will make your soul dance
Making you want to express it with your life
To feel rejected will make your soul branded
Burning it with fear, diminishing its light.
What you meet
Is what you study
Through the window of your eyes
To meet interest will make your soul dance
Making you want to express it with your life
To meet lies will make your soul branded
Burning it with fear, diminishing its light.
Precious eyes,
When you are a child
What you see brands you for life
Love makes your soul dance
Anger brings fear, your soul apprehended.
Precious eyes
As your life ripes
Choose to see at a glance
What makes your soul dance
When ugliness is seen at a glance
Distortion of truth is at hand
Look deeper till you see beauty
Let the beauty heal the burns
Fear that have caused your soul upturned.
Precious eyes
Your window to the world at large
Window to the soul, your inner light.
