Preachings of An Atheist

Simply put this title may offend some Truth is I don't pray or go to church I stay at home and reflect on life Seems atheist are victims of a purge Believers in a power are loud and proud But us atheists stay silent for the most part We aren't all a bad crowd We are all human with a heart If you were to look at my character Would you think I'm a man of faith? Study my life like a narrator And see which belief seem to be in place Is there truly a way to tell? I think not Whether heaven nor hell I choose neither and instead want my body to rot I write this to show my stance See if you judged me fair Now look how you judge based on my stance Cause judgement is a sin to weigh you to hell...and i feel light as air

The title didn't offend me; it attracted and intrigued me to learn what you have to say on the subject. Admittedly, everyone has a right to their opinion, and especially a poet who tries to capture the moment in rarefied words. To answer your question, No, there is no way to tell. People reveal who they are, not what they believe. An interesting poem. JH
