Prayer Within
The excitement was over. No one was gone.
The times had been bad with eminent chances for hurt.
My family was with me through trials and defeat.
Now we rested awaiting the next trials replete.
No matter what lost… We will build again.
No matter what suffered we are still in God’s own hand.
So I slowly made it to the Church Sanctuary within.
To kneel at the alter before our next journey to begin.
Thank you I said… for we are still alive…
And Thank You again for you are so wise.
Please lead and inspire… as we rebuild our lives.
And remember our hearts are with you throughout the night.
We’ll forever be strong if you will hold our hand tight.
We will not forget you… so please don’t forget us.
Much now needs be done so hold us again in the palm of your hand.
We will toil endlessly on with your cross close at hand.
Life is not perfect… That we all surmise…
But it is better by far… with God’s Grace by our sides.
