Pray
PRAYER
I say a prayer is anyone there?
I beg, plead, but no answer.
Is it imaginary or am I impatient.
I’ve seen things happen in my life
A friend, a mother, and a wife.
Blessed beyond anything wished
But at the same time incomplete
I say a prayer when I feel defeated
Battered, broken is anyone interceding
Sin so bad, I sink with shame, ugliness
Is someone hearing my prayer, really?
Maybe it’s just not to be heard
There’s serious things in the world
The churches, the books all alike
But when help is needed no one in sight
I say a Prayer for me and others
Those with no strength to pray
Above all else is my belief, trust
When alone I say a prayer
Is anyone listening can someone hear!
