Possessions
What we possess is not our own,
Everything we have is on loan,
From when we are born
Until we depart
Our possessions will go
But some will keep their hearts.
The wicked and power-hungry kind
Will have to leave their hearts behind
Black hearts are unacceptable in heaven above
Because black hearts are devoid of love
Heartless people feel a need
For wealth, power, self-love and greed.
They think they will live forever,
And never, die
But death comes to us all
Even the rich and powerful.
Heaven is for the pure of heart,
A heart, that's true,
If you are heartless,
Heaven has no place for you.
