Poor Children

We are the salt of the earth, But we're treated like scum. We don't have wealth, But we have enough heart to get some. We often don't get what we want. When we do, we often flaunt. Because for so long fortune was a ghost, It did haunt us with stuff that we did want. We are poor now, children But rich in the gifts that God created us with And won't live without numerous coins for very long So work hard, keep your eye on the prize, Fake it before you make it, And be strong. written on 9-9-04 while still a college student(student teacher)@ ULM

As my Mum told me ... "We're not poor - we've just got no money!" Well spoken, Nicole!
