'poles Apart Yet the Same'
crooked in between the straight lines
in full view somehow hidden
just like old times but everything is new
you whisper so loud my heart skips a beat
drowning out the little things that made the most sense
the contrasts so obvious and we still pretend to not see them
it’s like seeing but refusing to acknowledge
that we are the same with differences weaved
together
