Point of No Return

Not a cloud was in the sky On that beautiful summer day Birds were singing sweetly But her mind had gone astray Her thoughts were filled with gloom As she strolled along the bridge Each step brought her closer to doom As hopelessness set in She stopped and looked at the water below As it glistened in the sun She'd reached the point of no return Soon her life would be done But as she leapt off that bridge She immediately had regret There she was, not wanting to die But plunging to her death -- 12/8/16

Oh my gosh - changing her mind mid-dive, a dramatic ending! Your imagination got very creative with this impressive poem. I liked the story, the rhymes, the flow - it is a complete dramatic poem package, Joseph! CayCay

wow, joseph. GREAT ending on this one!!!! Goes so well with the theme.(you could shorten it up and do it in 2 syllable lines for Duplex contest!!)
