Poetry of Life

The poetry I never wrote fades on the wings of time, but somewhere deep within my heart is etched each single line. It haunts me as a silent ghost as fleeting memories fail, but on my soul forevermore its sentiments prevail . Though never meant for me to share it guides my every day, and touches everyone I meet as I pass on my way. Not everything I see or hear will shape the way I stride, but poetry inscribed by life will always be my guide. Ivor G Davies

Its funny, the one's that I have written but are for specific events or people that would make no sense to anybody not involved are the ones that that I feel are still floating in the ether! And the ones that I new I should of written but can no longer remember the anything but the pressure from my muse at the time!

Another really beautiful and beautifully constructed poem Ivor. You are first on my favorites list. I have purchased your book from Amazon but it has not arrived yet. It is promised but this is longest it's ever taken an Amazon purchase to arrive. Very much looking forward to it.

Howard, my apologies for Amazons delay, they are still probably deciphering the hieroglyphics! I must admit my personal copy is becoming full of my corrections just in case I publish again. Judy.... I will endevour to get Eric (fairplay) to join Poetry Soup although he can be quite contentious and not nearly as cuddly as I am!

Thanks Edwin, I find writing poetry always makes one examine oneself and forces you to personally strive for the values you write about. Ivor
