Poetry My Lover
Poetry, My Lover.
Remembered ways of yesterdays
and nights I spent alone.
Longing for a love someday
that I could call my own.
I heard a song, can it be wrong?
Like whispers in the wind.
You came to me, I came to see
you’re poetry, my friend.
To get me through I turned to you,
my tears they fell like rain.
I know now some way some how
I’d never known such pain.
I struggle still, I always will
at least from time to time.
In sometimes dreams I hear the screams.
The life I lived in rhyme.
Then came you to see me through
you loved me like no other.
It came to be I came to see.
You’re poetry,my lover.
