Poems
Poems come in many forms.
The ones I like and the ones I don't.
That some should rhyme and some should not:
makes no sense: and won't.
Some lines long will lose their meaning
while some are short and need some weaning.
Other poems are terribly boring;
yet then there's some that leave you soaring.
Famous poems are rare but good
and hidden for us to find.
Yet if you're smart
you'll write one down
and say what's on your mind.
So take my words for what they're worth
and know just what they're saying.
That after pen and after paper
they're only thoughts I'm praying.
