Plesiosaurus Lives

I’m Peter the Plesiosaurus My clan sings like whales in a chorus My flippers and gills Can give children thrills So open your minds, don’t ignore us *Japanese fishermen found an alleged plesiosaurus which was thought to have vanished during the Jurassic period. Others believe the Loch Ness monster is a plesiosaurus. You can see a picture of them at http://hariscena.files.wordpress.com/2010/03/plesiosaurus_lebensbild.jpg

Carolyn, how did I miss this one? A fine example of a limerick. Do you think the plesiosaurus still exists?

I've seen some documentaries on the pleisiosaurus and its potential relationship to the Lock Ness monster. The ocean is deep and dark with places like the Marianna Trench. Who knows whats hanging out there? Good luck in the contest, Diane

That Lock Ness thing is fascinating. I had a school teacher in 4th grade who I think might have been related - gave the children chills. (oops! Misread) I like this here poem mucho. Love, Dave

all your poems are so fresh.....that's why I read them....plesiosaurus...my god...I never heard of such a creature, dead or alive,................actually when I saw the title of the poem I thought it was perhaps a joke about "Please yourself-o-saurus" , maybe about some self-centred old guy (old dinosaur) ....lovely little snippet of paleantological verse, Carolyn....Syd
