Please Lord
They know not what they're doing
Unaware of rushing pain
Impact dealt as a heavy shrouding
Feeling every shifting strain
Grandeur is placed upon them
Surrender to meager me
Built up, give what I am
Liberated to fall and vanish where it is dim
Actions tell things as they are
The slighting breaks me, O my Lord
I wish to show them something bigger
Unveiling things they will not see
Too much hurt it dwells within
Keeping me down here, letting me be
There may not be repairs
That will fix whats all been done
Oh God, please heal my inside, let me be a brand new girl
I am run down and I'm broken, no good to anyone
I've endured too many things, Lord
Keep on bleeding from within
Why do You give and take away my Dear
Things I've gained a comfort in?
I need Your mighty healing
Something only You can do
I don't want to need these people
I just want to rest in You
I want to be Your daughter
Knowing You are whom I serve
Comforted with Your arms around me
Feel the refuge that You conserve
I am not worthy of Your answer
But I still ask You one more time
Please Lord deliver me from this shadow
Your light...won't you make it mine?
I ask to be without them
Without needs they'll not provide
Why are they stuck within me
Flood with cold and wounds and pride
I look at them but see Your hand
Is it reaching out to me?
I need to grasp it with You now
Your strength will be the key
Will you try to show them
A little something of my pain
Then they'd know the things inside
I might be whole again?
Relief might find my broken heart
You show us if You will
Only You can know how they will be
I must look to You to tell
I wish this not upon them
Nor on any living man
Only some speck of comprehension
Something must be in Your plan
I know the answer is with You
Only You can help with this...
They just don't know that they break me
Please forgive them and release
Flying far away You'll send
Looking forward to that day when I am resting in Your peace
