Please Don'T Tell My Super Jock Friends

Actually saw my first robin today Gayly flitting from branch to branch Please don't tell my super jock friends They're just waiting for a chance They'll start calling me “sweetie pie” And kissing me on the cheek Ask if they could escort me to the ball And giving my nose a wee tweak I'm just as manly as all those guys With a soft side they don't possess No excuses for my feminine tendencies Even comfortable wearing a dress Okay maybe that's going too far The wearing of a dress I mean Really haven't stopped playing with dolls Now live ones wearing tight jeans Can't believe this all started with a robin A harbinger of upcoming spring As I gayly prance through fields of clover To a bouquet of roses I cling! © Jack Ellison 2013

Now you are preaching to the choir, Amen, santa clause , lol. I'm sorry, I couldn't resist the santa clause joke. You are a wonderful soul, and I defintely meant no harm. I truly enjoy your poems, and wish everyone was just like you. The world would be a better place, I'm positive.

WOWSERS! May I quote you??? LOL BTW I've been called Santa many times... that's not a bad thing! Actually, a wee kiddie in a shopping mall once thought I was the big guy and tugged on his mom's sleeve to come and talk to me! Sweet! Thanks a bunch for those oh so kind words, my good friend!

I don't think I can imagine Santa Clause in a dress, that is going too far, lol, just kidding my friend. I think I have some of those same type of friends, that I won't be sharing poetry with, good thing there are stiff refined men, that can be comfortable talking, reading, and writing about these things. Nice poem, funny as always, and yes I'll keep reading them, usually a bright spot of the day.

The images this puts in my head are hilarious! I, too, feel the same way when I admire a beautiful sunset or even when I share my poetry over Facebook! I'm just not a sports or cars kinda guy...

Watch where you tip toe... I sent my poopy dragon North for a spell... Still trying ti dig out my roses... Dumb Dragon... Watch out... He cuts a mighty wind too... My Hubby taught him... I think it's a guy thing... LOL

LOL! This is too funny my friend! You have delighted me to no end with this write Jack! I loved reading this tremendous poem this morning! You have presented a hilarious piece, such a humorous poem, and I must say, there is nothing wrong with being in touch with your feminine side! I never pay any attention to anyone that tries to make fun of me or anyone with a softer side of their life...we have a much richer life, I believe we are the actual man, the one with a sensitive side!
