A pasture with the charms it brings
Glides through August, on robins' wings
Where comforting hums taste the night
As I draft lyrics that invite
New music for wind's quiet thrill;
Rhythms pulsing which linger still
On grasses fresh, an olive shade
While warbles of solace cascade.
I sigh till breezes calm my mind
On this sanctuary enshrined--
Then to hold the moonlight and gaze
At my rich pasture's lulled displays
And nature's own song wafts,replete
Curling around my tunes so sweet:
How I in kindled thoughts divine
Embrace this place...its leisure, mine.
