Pills and Potions

Pills and potions If only they could solve all the problems One magic pill to make it all go away If only it were that easy Pop them in a cup, a concoction of things you don’t even know Sip, and swallow, and it’ll all get better But it doesn’t It’s a choice between every thought urging you to take that jump, to strangle yourself, That there’s no place in this world for you And being too drugged up to even think about it A mindless droid that purely exists and nothing more And which is better really? Is either option better than the other? In the end, we trust the process and hope Because hope is the only thing that can truly hold a person together Without hope, there is nothing No light No path No handle to grasp
