Pills
Cold white seeds
planted new in me, burried
deep in this broken heart
in the cracks of light through
a navy sky
my body is sick for them
after each popping swig
and the late nights
of my forever shaking shoulders
I will need them again, and what they build
when I think on your brown eyes
which love so fiercely
and move so easily
when I think on your hands
which taste the air like flames,
so earnestly
So desperately, I'm singing
collaging my life
stringing lights around my own eyes
Asking,
Can't you see your own reflection?
I've always been here
