Pigeons

(At this time of year, when I go to collect my morning papers at dawn, I often come across little groups of pigeons, always at road junctions, pecking away at something.) What is it with pigeons at junctions? Each morning, there's loads on the floor, they scuffle around pecking down at the ground there's something to eat, that's for sure. You'll often see some really fat ones, they're there on the tarmac each day, and sometimes you may see a flat one who didn't get out of the way.

There is a park in San Juan, PR called pidgeon park where they will land all over your arms and shoulders and head if you feed them. Smiled at your write. I told my wife we're having roadkill for dinner. Tarmac pidgeon BBQ. : )

You are lucky if you only see them outside, went to a subway once when visiting Auckland and they were flying in and out the windows . One pooped on my suit. Had to count to 10. several times. My normal is different to other peoples normal apparently. At least the native wood pigeons we get in our street have better manners and keep to the trees. Are you following the rugby. Perhaps drivers are throwing out crumbs from the food they consume whilst driving to work - who knows what causes this phenomenon but we saw hundreds of sparrows not pigeons in the road doing the same thing - crazy birds! Hope all ok with you and yours Mr Viv:-) hugs Jan xx
