Phantom Stallion
Hooves thundering dawn’s firmament
In onerous striding rhythm
Incandescent specters astride
A steady flow of charge and fall
Nostrils burning in fiery sweat
Oily sleek acidic breaths
Bare and muscular iron flesh
As one astride they canter
Dashed upon by the morning waves
Tepid eyed comprehension
Radiance growing with every gallop
Night’s inhibition abandoned
Strides arching in brazen speed
Merging within the twilight
Waves erasing cold wet sands
Of her fulfillment
Behind her the harvest moon rides
Upon the feral stallion
Disappearing with the morning light…
