Petition
Petition
Lord grant that I might walk softly,
Down quiet, untrodden ways.
That I might explore the hidden recesses
Of the mind, henceforth unsearched.
Let me plum the depths of love
And reach down into the darkness
To recover Truth,
As he is always, wrapped in light.
Give me the wood, the field and Glen,
Where you can dwell in the open air.
Deliver me from the beaten track,
Let me "converse" with you God.
Let me walk silently through the
Empty mystic halls of thought,
And discover it's treasures,
Or lose my curse.
Lord grant that I might walk softly
Down quiet, untrodden paths,
Through the darkness of this world,
To find that light.
Deliver me from the fetters
of conceit and pride
Break the bonds of fear,
That I might discover you.
