Perspective
The strongest person you'll ever meet,
is someone that you already know.
They share your pain and they feel your fear.
They help hide what you don't want to show.
They are there for you all day and night,
after others have all gone away.
Courage and strength they bring to you,
when you just cannot face a new day.
But this one that does so much for you,
is your first in line to berate.
Quickest to judge and seek out their flaws,
constant on your list to hate.
Not dare treat others as you do them,
but never given twice a thought.
Much damage you cause to one so dear,
a mess of emotions you wrought.
This mess, however, you can repair,
if the other perspective you see.
Seek the good, forgive, be kind to them.
When ready, in the mirror they'll be.
