Perspective

To me, today felt very cold, Though I was dressed to take it. A film I’d seen kept popping In my thoughts; I couldn’t shake it. It told the story of a plane That crashed in frigid weather And how survivors lasted, Somehow keeping it together. The cold that they experienced I’ve never felt in person, Where freezing temps in daylight, Once the night falls, only worsen. Complaining when we’re cold, of course, Is something quite subjective, But certain situations put things Clearly in perspective.

I find putting on an extra layer helps as I get older. Brrrr. Tom

Well said Ilene! Most of us don't have it that bad.

Hey. I love this description of cold circumstances. I agree that we shouldn't complain. Somewhere, someone is colder.

Since moving back home to New Orleans from Colorado, I'm not sure I could deal with snow and ice now. Saying that as timely frigid weather is upon us, even here in the Deep South. Good points, Ilene.
