Performance

The velvety tones of a saxophone drift gently into the air, and even the idle chatter of the club's patrons does not spoil the effect. In fact, the spell cast by the music causes the muttering to slowly dissipate as each melody is recognized with slowly widening smiles. What started as background music takes center stage and becomes a performance, with the player acknowledging applause and taking a bow.

i like it very much this way, keith, but i also liked it the first way. i guess you agonize over a poem once you've finished it, too. i can relate!

Thanks Ilene... Would that there were still nightclubs to visit. Unfortunately they seem to be a thing of the past these days. Best wishes, Keith
