Perfect Portrait
The kaleidoscopic view of the myriad of life
Watched through the spectacle of acceptance
Brings me close to the portrait of life
That I want to be more like
I envy the admiration that it gets
The colors of joy splashed across it
I lust for the compliments showered on it
The perfect portrait of life it seems.
I copy my portrait form the one I behold
Add the glitzy hues required
Erase the insignificant details
And finally come up with one of my own
The new portrait is a sight to behold
A portrait as never before; they say
Only that there’s nothing perfect in the portrait
It’s not me anymore.
