Penny For the Guy
Dads old trousers and his disco shirt
packed tight with yesterdays news.
A mask for a face and a pram for his car.
He is sat outside the local shops
penny for the guy Mr. is our shout.
treacle toffee smashed with a hammer.
A toffee apple and a trip to the dentist's chair.
A hot dog with all the extras.
A trip to the bonfire on the backfield.
Me and my dad lighting a Catherine wheel .
Rockets light up the heavens
and the faces of those who watch.
The only bad thing about bonfire night.
Is that Guy Fawkes failed to blow them Politian's up.
