Penn and Teller

Penn and Teller I wrote the notes clear as day So obvious I would not be here to stay On earthly lands with mortal souls They danced the nights as the stars have sung I knew my destiny was rope and hung The knife that cut my heart in two Twas really just words, shouted by you Words of pen, like a knights sword of thrust I was killed by the coldness and the lack of lust It’s I, with the darkness that did what I must Kicked the chair and bit the dust Notes to poem: This is a play on words with the names of one of my favorite magical acts, Penn and Teller. A dark topic, I would be curious if a few here get the word play, of course the notes themselves hint it, and I am leaving the notes here for 2 hours, so all 30,000 Soupers can read them! Ps: I love just about all of the poems from poets I have read here, thank you so much.

There are times when cruel words cut deeper than a literal knife. Arthur, your skill is immense in word play.

Arthur, I get the word play completely, the one who held the knife and cut MY heart I have cast away and into the darkness they will stay where evil dwells and for myself I will stand strong in the sun but my words will be shattering tears at times if I let the pain surface ~

I do not know, whether I get the word play you intended. I like Jonathan Ross though, at least part of him. 'Kicked the chair and a bit of dust' sums it (something) up...Poetry can heal. Lots of wishes, Kai

Suicide is not the answer...or is it? Nooo...just a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Great play on words! Words can cut like a knife for sure! I like your style!
