Peace

Let us take a stroll, into this war torn place, where there is no answer, and some people thrive on hate. Let us take a stroll, as we hide behind a wall, one you cannot see, absent of justice or law. Let us take a stroll, and pray for all this to end, rebuild a world of respect, even if we all can't be friends. Let us take a stroll, and question what is right, the people of this place, didn't ask for this fight. Let us take a stroll, and beg for peace right now, we need to love each other, and end this all somehow.

we live in such a violent world.... It has been taught to all of us unfortunately, no one is immune- from generation to generation, escalation... sad, if we all took a moment to pause and deeper understanding was on our minds, it could be time for healing.. and peace.

Amen to this write which is beautiful in both structure and sentiment. If everyone thought like this the world would be a much more loving place. So glad to have given you a happy memory today! GBY! Love and peace, Robin

I am loving your message of peace and respect. Beautifully written. One can only hope and pray that one day this will be a reality. I truly believe there are more people who want it than don't. Well done! Love, Shar

The campaign for peace continues! Beautiful poem. I love how the message is clear, but it's not overshadowing everything. For instance, "rebuild a world of respect, even if we can't all be friends". The realism makes this work where so many poems have failed. Also, thanks for your comment on my poem. A similar theme, though where you find your peace I still search for my caccoon :D Nathaniel

Christy, I would be the first to extend my hand in peace if I thought it would do some good, but there are those that can not or will not live in peace so I keep my hand in my pocket and my finger on the trigger. We just have to wait and see what is going to happen, my advice is to stay on guard, Your Friend always, Ron

Did you see that PBS special on Iran with Rick Steves? He goes into a mosque, everyone is praying, looks peaceful actually. Then he casually comments on a sign in the back that says "Death to Israel". That's a very tough pill for me to swallow. I mean I thought religion is about peace. This makes no sense.
