Pastel Reflections

I still think of you, in the quiet evening When the sun is gone and just the moon gives out its glow I still think of you, as I gaze up high the darkened sky Stars shine like they did once in your eyes. Looking back at all life’s sounds and colors we have been through Cupful of moments we laughed and times we cried Knowing that I’ll never see the golden sunset with you Let me hold on to our warm pastel shades. When I think of you, overcome with sadness I reach back in time, those summer days of our young hearts When I think of you, thoughts of your love cloud my hazy eyes Our hopes and dreams stolen by fate.
