Pastel Dreams
Why are you so focused
on my little tiny failures
not on my overall grand success
every time I stumble
you seem to drag me down
with all your words of aspersion
I just slide further down
you criticize and vilify
as I attempt to overcome
every minuscule failure
As I see, every mark
adds color to the picture
but to you the world
is black and white
a charcoal picture
ally my attempts to add pastel
you have just deemed fails
you pick and I compare
I am trapped in a nightmare
as I neglect to overachieve extraordinary
