I don't know exactly what is done in the Jewish celebration of Passover now but know from the Bible once they had lamb, unleavened bread and that was the kind of meal plus wine that Jesus and His Disciples had for the passover meal before Jesus was crucified..I enjoyed reading this work..Thanks for stopping by..Sara

I grew up in Brooklyn but now live on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. There is a knish place near here - Yonah Schimmels - which is over a hundred years old and still serving up delicious knishes. Peace & Love Matthew Anish

Great tanka :-) You have brought back memories Matthew I used to be a private nanny for a Jewish family and I loved taking part in their celebrations - especially eating matzo and stewed apple for what seemed like every meal lol and matzah balls I think they were called something like knedle - oh what memories:-) hugs jan xx

I think you mean knadeclach - which are dough with meat in it. You can still get them in NY at delis. My paternal grandmother used to make them by hand. Peace & Love Matthew Anish
